About me

Work and life

My name is Irene.

I’m working from home full time (37h / week) in data science, online marketing and as head of our content team for jobchannel ag (Swiss-based online job searching platform company). I’m listed under the jobchannel ag team here: jobchannel.ch/team.

I live in the centre of Epsom, on The Parade, near Ashley Centre.

I was born in Switzerland and I have been living in England since 2007, and since 2018 I have lived in Epsom. I am currently the owner of 2 cats (Blaxy and Floofs) which were born and raised at home and which I love them to bits. Growing up I was always a bird girl. I had budgies, and later canaries for as long as I can remember. I was introduced to the joy of living with cats in 2013 and although (small) birds will always be a favourite animal of mine, I prefer cats as pets, this is because birds are pretty much impossible to cuddle!

Looking after cats and other pets

Previously also active as a pet sitter on a pet sitting platform from July 2019 to May 2025, so far I have been looking after more than 35 different cats, 1 budgie, 1 guinea pig, fish, 2 geckos, 2 bunnies, rats, and 3 chickens.

In my youth, I have been pet (and plant) sitting for neighbours and friends. Additionally, as a teenager, I spent some time volunteering at the Swiss equivalent of the RSPB where I helped looking after injured wild birds.

Excellent cat sitter – highly recommend!

Irene was great with our cat while we were away for two weeks. Our nervous cat warmed to her quickly, and we got lovely updates while we were away – she is fantastic with cats and a lovely, trustworthy pet sitter. Would definitely work with her again, thanks Irene!

Areas covered

I focus on Epsom, Epsom Downs and Ashtead, but I will consider anything up to 25 minutes cycling distance, that is about 3 mile radius from the centre of Epsom (Epsom, Epsom Downs, Ashtead, Stoneleigh, Ewell, Tadworth).

Note that I rely on my folding e-bike (and sometimes public transport) to get to your place.
