Loving Pet Care – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Loving Pet Care. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of my website and services. By accessing my website or engaging my services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Website Use and Content

Welcome to Loving Pet Care. By accessing and using this website (https://loving-pet-care.com/), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of Use. All content on this website is provided for general information only. While we aim for accuracy, Loving Pet Care does not guarantee the completeness or suitability of any information.

You may view, download, or print pages for personal, non-commercial use only. Reproduction or commercial use of any content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
Website content — including text, images, logos, and design — is protected by intellectual property laws and may not be copied, used, or distributed without our consent.

The following activities are not allowed:

  • Use of bots, crawlers, or automated tools to access or extract content.
  • Data mining or scraping.
  • Introducing malware or attempting unauthorized access to the site.

Linking to our site is permitted provided links are not misleading or imply endorsement. We may request removal of any links at our discretion.

The website is provided “as is” with no guarantees of accuracy, uptime, or freedom from viruses. Loving Pet Care is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your use of the site.

2. Definitions

  • “Client”: An individual who engages Loving Pet Care for pet care Services.
  • “Loving Pet Care”: The Service provider offering pet care Services through this website.
  • “Services”: Pet care Services provided by Loving Pet Care, including but not limited to pet sitting, as further set out in clause 3 below.
  • “Website”: The website located at loving-pet-care.com.

3. Nature of our Services

Loving Pet Care provides pet care Services directly to Clients. We are not a marketplace or intermediary; all Services are rendered by Irene Artho. Our Services include pet sitting tailored to meet the Client’s pet’s needs.
We serve individuals with up to 6 pets. We can look after cats or other small animals. Bookings for dogs will only be accepted as an exception.

4. Eligibility

To engage our Services:

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. By using our Services, you confirm that you meet these criteria.
  • The legal owner of house or have permission of other occupants to enter.
  • The property must be safe and easily accessible by car/foot.

5. Process of entering into a binding contract

  1. Place a request for Services via our booking form.
  2. Loving Pet Care will send an acknowledgement of request and review the details.
  3. If Loving Pet Care is available for the Service on the chosen dates, we will send you an email confirming your booking with an invoice at which point the Client can discuss any points of concern.
  4. If the Client doesn’t dispute the invoice 5 working days after receiving it or by the time the booking starts (whichever happens earlier), a binding contract will be formed.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information about their pets, including health conditions, behavioural issues, and special needs.
  • Ensuring pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and are licensed as required by local laws.
  • Providing necessary supplies for pet care, such as food, cat litter, medications.
  • If applicable; providing information about neighbourhood safety and if needed instructions to keep certain windows closed due to safety concerns.
  • Providing accurate instructions on how to enter the house and providing the correct key(s) for access.
  • Providing accurate contact details.
  • Providing accurate instructions on what Services are required, including accurate information on medical careif required.
  • Providing vet details and location of pet carriers in case of emergencies.
  • Payment on time.
  • Providing reasonable notice of cancellation.

7. Note on Security Cameras

Loving Pet Care believes every Client has the right to have security cameras to monitor both home and pet activity, and encourages the use of to better protect what is precious to the Client. We do require that any electronic surveillance cameras inside and outside the Client’s property should be brought to our attention, either when we meet for the first time or via the information the Client can supply that information in the note section of a booking request.

8. Bookings and Payments

  • All booking requests (as mentioned above) must be made through our Website or by contacting Loving Pet Care directly.
  • Payment by bank transfer or cash is due at the time of booking or within 3 working days after completion, unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • Loving Pet Care accepts bank transfers or cash payments. Alternative payment options may be accepted on request.

Prices of our Services will be as set out on our website from time to time. Standard pricings are listed, any additional fees will be discussed prior to booking. If you require additional Services, we would discuss this before entering a legal contract.
If you are late with the payment of our fees, we will charge interest of 4% per annum above Nationwide’s base rate interest.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Client Cancellations: If payment was made already, cancellations 24 hours or more prior to the scheduled start of the Service will receive a full refund. With cancellations made within less than 24 hours of the scheduled start of the Service, Loving Pet Care will keep 50% of the booking fee or a minimum of £10 – or I will request payment of that amount if no payments have been made yet. This is to acknowledge the fact that we may have missed out on other work, especially if we set aside more time for a pet with special requirements or a pet that’s takes longer for us to get to.
  • Loving Pet Care Cancellations: In the unlikely event we must cancel a Service, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer a full refund, a backup sitter or to reschedule the Service at no additional cost. We will use reasonable endeavours to provide backups, but we cannot guarantee a backup sitter or a timely reschedule.

10. Emergency Care

In case of a pet emergency:

  • Loving Pet Care will make every effort to contact you immediately.
  • Where we are unable to receive confirmation that you wish your pet to go to the vet, we will use our reasonable expertise as an experienced pet sitter to assess whether a vet visit is necessary.
  • In the first instance we would rely upon your insurance to cover vet fees, but should it be necessary we have comprehensible insurance. If it comes to use our own insurance, there may be additional costs for you. Please note that our insurance doesn’t cover any pre-existing conditions.

11. Liability

While we strive to provide the highest level of care, except for those that cannot be legally excluded, Loving Pet Care is not liable for:

  • Any injury or illness your pet may sustain during our care, unless due to our negligence.
  • Any issues resulting from unclear instructions, including wrong dosage of medications.
  • Loss or damage to personal property during Service provision, unless caused by Loving Pet Care by accident. Loss or theft of key as well as accidental damage to property by our hand is excluded from liability and is covered by our Pet Business Insurance plan.
  • Losses that the customer could have avoided e.g. disclosing the windows need to be kept closed so that cats don’t get out.
  • Losses caused by delays outside of your control e.g. public transport failure/ cancelled flights.
  • Unexpected losses, i.e. losses you could never have predicted e.g. a burglary.

12. Insurance Coverage

At Loving Pet Care, we prioritize the safety and well-being of the pets entrusted to me. To ensure comprehensive protection, we are fully insured with Pet Business Insurance, covering Pet Home Boarding, Pet Minding, and Pet Sitting. Details about our insurance are available on request.

13. Privacy

Loving Pet Care respects the privacy of the Client. Personal information collected is used solely to provide our Services and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to Terms

Loving Pet Care may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our Website, and the effective date will be updated accordingly. Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
